9-month Certificate Program

The occupational and general objective of the Business Administration program is to provide students with business and business-related technical and professional training that prepares them for immediate employment. Through business management programs, you can earn your certificate. Classes contain lecture and lab; a minimum of 2 hours per week is devoted to professional development techniques, which may include The Pacific Institute's Thought Patterns for a Successful Career TM.

Upon completion of the business training program the student should be able to:

  • Recognize and apply management and human relation skills and techniques
  • Communicate orally and in writing in a concise, clear manner
  • Utilize computer technology in the business world
  • Demonstrate keyboarding, word processing and computer skills
  • Utilize basic skills for a double-entry accounting system
  • Become familiarized with Quickbooks
  • Coordinate a successful job search

This is a comprehensive program that includes aspects of business career training. Graduation lends itself to a variety of employment opportunities. Graduates could be qualified for positions as accounting clerks (accounts payables/accounts receivable, payroll), bookkeepers, executive/administrative assistants, receptionists and, with experience, office managers.
