It is the School’s policy for all faculty and staff to focus on the students' needs at all times and provide the assistance and resources that will help them to complete their education goals while in school. When an instructor determines that a student may be having academic difficulties, the instructor will meet with the student personally and work to assist the student with classwork. If necessary, an advisory report may be drawn up to document where difficulties have arisen and possible suggestions for improvement. These reports are then turned into the Director of Education for review and possible follow-up.
The individual's success at PCI is supported with certain professional development tools, such as self-improvement, effective communications, study skills, goal-setting, time management, professional image and positive attitude. Students are introduced to building professional images by emphasizing successful behaviors and practicing professional ethics, building positive relationships, becoming well-rounded employees and developing positive attitudes for success. Success Strategies for Students through The Pacific Institute is integrated throughout the curriculum to assist in building these skills for students.
