The wind curriculum at PCI is a mix of theory and practical application that builds the foundation for our students to become capable, entry level wind technicians. The first group of wind students started class in March of 2010 and we’ve been training successful Wind Turbine Technicians ever since.
Our curriculum – like our educational technology – is tailored to provide valuable technical skills that can help you succeed in an alternative energy career. Wind turbine technician students learn a variety of wind technologies and tools including safety rigging, electrical systems and hydraulics training. Our Instructional Design team stays ahead of the latest trends, in order to produce a better student experience.
All leaders in the “wind industry” – your Program Coordinator, a strong team of instructors each with their individual program expertise and the very passionate curriculum teams ensure that our entire organization is committed to helping you succeed from the first day of class well into your first job experience.
The program concludes with a Boot Camp in the midst of one of the largest wind farms in the U.S. in Sweetwater, TX where you will apply the theories learned through intense, hands-on instruction in Texas State Technical College (TSTC) labs and an actual turbine climb.
Admissions coordinators and our financial aid team walk you through the enrollment process from interview to application to enrollment – providing specific instruction to make your transition from prospective student to prepared student a painless process.
