For more than 70 years, Pinnacle Career Institute (PCI) has been helping students build careers through hands-on education in Kansas City, Missouri. Here is how we got here.
The school offers its first resident class in October 1953 as Electronics Institute, Inc., a Missouri corporation.
On June 2, 1992, Scott F. Freeman and Jeffrey C. Freeman purchase the school and, over the next decade, begin diversifying the programs offered on campus.
With many new programs added, the school changes its name in September 2002 to more accurately reflect its diverse educational offerings. It becomes Pinnacle Career Institute.
In January 2005, PCI is approved to offer online education programs. Our online programs are paired with hands-on boot camps that complement the online classes.
PCI becomes a member of the National Council for State Authorization Reciprocity Agreements (NC-SARA), which supports serving online students across state lines.
Today, PCI serves students across the United States through its online education programs, with a Kansas City campus where students put their skills to work. Our programs are designed to provide the training and education that lead to direct entry-level employment, and many culminate in an intensive hands-on boot camp or practicum in Kansas City, Missouri.
Accredited and approved. PCI is accredited by the Accrediting Commission of Career Schools and Colleges (ACCSC) and is certified to operate in the State of Missouri by the Department of Higher Education.
