Important academic definitions
Attendance Warning- Students must submit at least one graded attendance-qualifying activity each academic week.
- Failure to submit a graded activity in a week results in an attendance warning.
- Students who do not submit a graded activity for two consecutive weeks (14 days) will be administratively withdrawn.
- To remain eligible for Title IV financial aid, students must maintain Satisfactory Academic Progress as determined by the institution.
- Students are responsible for making SAP in order to continue receiving financial aid assistance.
- Students must meet PCI’s SAP standards to remain eligible for federal financial aid and continued enrollment.
- SAP is evaluated using cumulative GPA, course completion percentage, and maximum time frame requirements. Students who fail to meet SAP may be placed on Academic or Financial Aid Warning.
- Students must regain SAP by the end of the term or they may be academically withdrawn and lose financial aid eligibility.
- Students may appeal withdrawal and, if approved, return under Financial Aid Probation with an Academic Improvement Plan.
- Deadlines are the date and time an assignment, activity, quiz, exam, or discussion post is due. Typically, 11:59pm CT on Wednesday, Friday, or Sunday of any given week.
- If the assignment or discussion post is submitted after the deadline, late points will be deducted.
- Once a 5 week class has ended, grades are finalized and late work is no longer accepted.
